Privacy

The short version: this site collects an email address, and only if you type one in. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no third-party tracker, and no cookie set by us. Nothing is ever sold, rented or handed to anybody outside the three services that make delivery work. Mysteries Group LLC is responsible for the little that is held.

What is collected, and when

• If you ask for the free sheet: your email address, the date you asked for it, and — as the follow-up emails go out — which of them have been sent and whether they were opened. That is the entire record.
• If you buy: Stripe takes and processes the payment on its own systems and passes us your email address, your name if you gave one, and the amount and date of the purchase. We never see your card number and it is never stored here.
• If you write to us: whatever is in your email, kept for as long as it takes to sort the thing out.

We do not ask for and do not want your postal address, your telephone number, your date of birth, your birthstone or anything about your beliefs, your health or your household. Nothing on this site profiles you, and no page here tries to work out who you are.

The site sets no cookies. On the delivery page for the book, your browser keeps one small local flag if you click through to add the printable cards, so that the page stops offering you something you have already gone to buy. It stays on your device, is never sent anywhere and is not readable by us. Nothing else on this site writes anything to your browser — the email form does not, which is why it asks again on every visit.

What it is used for

• Delivering the file you asked for or paid for, and re-sending it if it goes astray.
• A short follow-up sequence of a few emails on the same subject as the free sheet — what the sources actually say, where a modern meaning came from and in which year, and an honest account of who the book is not for. Every one of those carries an unsubscribe link: one click, no questions, no exit survey. If you buy, a few emails follow the file over the first month. They carry the same unsubscribe link, and you can also write to the address below and they stop the same day. Unsubscribing from those never affects your download: the delivery email and your link are sent separately and do not stop.
• Answering you if you write, and processing a refund if you ask for one.
• Counting, in totals only, how many people asked for the sheet and how many bought. Never a profile of any individual.

Your address is never used for anything unrelated, never passed to another business, and never used for a different site of ours. If we later publish another title on this same subject, buyers hear about it once inside that sequence, and a line to the address below ends it.

Who else touches it

• Stripe — takes the payment and holds the transaction record. Its own privacy policy governs what it keeps.
• Brevo — sends the delivery emails and the follow-up sequence, and stores the list.
• Netlify — hosts this site and its server-side functions, and keeps standard server logs.

Those three are processors doing a job for us, under their own terms. Nobody else receives your address. There are no affiliates, no data brokers, no list rental and no advertising network. Those services operate in the United States and elsewhere, so if you are writing from outside the US your address is processed there.

How long it is kept

Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. An address on the email list stays until you unsubscribe or ask for it to be deleted, and then it goes. Correspondence is deleted once the matter it concerns is closed.

Your choices

Unsubscribe from any email in one click. To see what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it erased, write to mysteriesmediallc@gmail.com. It is done within thirty days, and in practice much sooner. No account is needed, no reason is required, and asking will never cost you access to a file you have already paid for.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and no address is knowingly collected from one. If you believe a child has left an address here, write and it will be deleted.

Security, honestly stated

Everything is served over HTTPS, and payment data never reaches this site. No system is perfectly secure, and this one holds almost nothing worth stealing: an email address and a purchase date.

Changes and contact
